Do you ever think about the space around you? Like really think about it; how it was drawn out and planned for your use, and how it changes over time? The pavements you walk on, the paths you choose to get from A to B the quickest way possible, the underground spaces you are forced to visit to get to the metro…Have you ever wondered about these spaces? Often, we only notice these things when they have changed, either for the better or worse. How about the lifespan of the architecture that you surround yourself with every day? Do you ever wonder if your favorite building will make it through to the end of time?
In Relation To is an exhibition that examines these questions. Through five installations by five artists, the topic of our physical space has been dissected and examined to illuminate the various aspects of this very dense concept. In Relation To first appeared in physical form at Stockholm’s Konstfack in January 2018, and has been been transformed exclusively for +KOTE into a virtual exhibition.
